This last song, Sara emailed to all of us before we started this tour, and said she thought it would be really fitting to play for our audience. And every night, she thanks our audience for being the people that they are, and I wanna say tonight that I think it’s bigger than that, I think that we’re so lucky, and we’re honored by your presence here. And I know that every band says that to their audience, but most bands, these days, don’t last as long as we have. We’ve put out 7 records, been around for 15 years.
So it’s bigger than saying - it’s bigger than just saying ‘thank you,’ um, we really owe…everything to our audience. And we’ve seen our audience grow, and we’ve seen it become very, uh, diverse. And as our records have become more popular, we’ve seen our music accepted into the mainstream, and our audience has stuck with us. Even though mainstream journalism and writers have been like, “Uhh, your audience must be rebelling and hating you!” And they don’t, you guys stick with us, and we appreciate that.”
